Fields of Mistria Walkthrough: Your Journey Through 1.0

Follow the Fields of Mistria 1.0 journey — from restoring the farm to reviving the town, unlocking mines, magic, romance, and the full story arc.

Updated: 2026-08-07 · By Fields of Mistria Guide

The story so far

Mistria, an idyllic village tucked between forest and sea, offers you an overgrown but full-of-potential homestead in exchange for your assistance. After an earthquake wreaks havoc and strange magic begins to flow through the land, your job is to restore the town to its former glory.

This is a spiritual successor to the Farm-Sim RPGs of the late 90s and onward — build the farm of your dreams as you discover magic, romance, and adventure.

Main progression path

  1. First Spring: restore the farm, meet villagers, unlock tools, open the mines (Spring 6).
  2. Town Rank: raise renown to advance ranks (Wood → Stone → Copper → … → Mistril). Rank unlocks new areas and rewards.
  3. Mines: descend through four biomes (Upper Mines → Tide Caverns → Deep Earth → Lava Caves), unlock magic and Combat/Mining perks.
  4. Magic: spells unlock through mine progression — magic aids farming and adventuring.
  5. Ancient ruins: battle foes and discover treasures as you explore the ruins.
  6. Festivals and seasons: new quests, festivals, and villager outfits each season.
  7. Romance: reach 10 hearts, propose, and marry — 12 candidates with full wedding events in 1.0.
  8. Town storyline: the 1.0 update completes the narrative arc.

1.0 endgame content

The 1.0 update added new dungeons beyond the EA mines, the town storyline completion, marriage and children, and the giant chicken mount. For players who completed Early Access content, 1.0 opens the final chapter — and NPC Studio teases continued development beyond 1.0, in the style of Stardew Valley’s long tail.

Walkthrough tips

  1. Don’t rush the story — the daily loop (crops, stamina, socializing) funds everything else.
  2. 60+ hours of content — four full seasons of farming, relationships, combat, and exploration.
  3. Keep the farm stable first — mine pacing and social events matter, but crop consistency prevents income instability.
  4. Save carries over — Early Access saves are fully compatible with 1.0; no restart needed unless you want the fresh-start experience.
