How many villagers are there?
Fields of Mistria features 30+ villagers, each with unique dialogue, schedules, likes and dislikes, and storylines. Twelve of them are romanceable (see our marriage candidates guide for the full romance breakdown).
You can get familiar with everyone quickly: every Friday after 6 PM, all the villagers gather at the Sleeping Dragon Inn.

Key non-romanceable villagers
- Holt & Nora — Celine’s parents, owners of the General Store. Upgrade their store to unlock new seeds.
- Olric — March’s brother. Certified himbo.
- Luke — gives you the Bug Net quest on Spring 4.
- Taria — runs the Tackle Shop on the Beach where you buy the fishing rod.
- Darcy — sells goods at the Saturday market (coffee, and more).
- Elsie — requests items like Snowdrop Anemones (3) via the quest board.

Why befriend everyone?
Friendship pays whether or not you’re looking for a spouse:
- Recipes unlock at higher heart levels.
- Shop discounts from shopkeeper friends.
- Story beats — the town feels lived-in as villagers react to your progress.
- Requests — villagers post quests on the board; completing them earns renown and rewards.
- Romance prerequisites — you can’t marry someone you haven’t befriended.
Meeting everyone checklist
- Visit the Inn on Friday after 6 PM — one stop, everyone gathered.
- Talk daily — new dialogue appears as hearts rise.
- Gift on birthdays — the biggest friendship spikes.
- Complete requests — quests reward renown and deepen relationships.
- Donate to the Museum — completing sets rewards you and pleases the town.
