Tool tiers

Tools come in Copper, Iron, and Silver, each stronger than the last. You forge them at the anvil outside the Blacksmith’s shop using ore hauled up from the mines.

Upgrade sideways, not in a line

You don’t have to climb the tool ladder rung by rung. Want the Silver Watering Can while still holding the worn starter? You only need:

1. Silver ingots (smelted from silver ore found deeper in the mines)
2. Blacksmithing level high enough

The intermediate tiers are optional.

Forging materials

• Ores and gems come from the mines — the only reliable pipeline for gear upgrades.
• Smelt ores into ingots for forging.
• Materials from storage bins are used directly — global inventory, no need to carry them.

Which tools to upgrade first

1. Watering Can first — bigger watering coverage buys back real minutes every morning. Those minutes are the currency this game runs on.
2. Pickaxe second — a Copper Pickaxe lets you smash the larger rocks blocking your path underground.
3. Hoe — larger till area speeds up planting season starts.
4. Fishing Rod / Bug Net — lower priority; upgrade when you fish or catch insects seriously.

Crafting tips

1. Mine daily — short runs keep the ore pipeline steady.
2. Stash everything — global inventory means chest contents count for crafting.
3. Watch the clock — crafting is instant but consumes in-game time; plan around it.
4. Level Blacksmithing — perks unlock at 15-level intervals via Caldarus statues; better perks cost more Essence.
